The Project

The project is focused on the field of research and innovative solutions for transports with low environmental impact, by using renewable sources and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). The project want to identify, implement and test on hybrid power vehicles new solutions which can support the monitoring and control of urban environment with the aims of prevention and containment of pollution, by using communication, localization and navigation systems.
The project aims at employing in the best way and in a combined modality new technological solutions for transports with very low environmental impact, as well as innovative ICT solutions based on the paradigms of communication and location, which will be increasingly characterized by a pervasive distribution of nodes (smart sensors) capable of providing the substrate regarding sensors, processing and communication, required for optimal exchange of information among vehicles in a city environment. The intelligent system will be integrated within a platform for monitoring and control, which will be managed by a Control Center which, as proposed in the Project, represents an innovative solution at international level.
