Radiolabs among Founding Members of DAAB – Abruzzo Aerospace District

Radiolabs has joined the recently established DAAB among companies, universities, and research centers to promote innovation in the Abruzzo Region through its laboratory specialized in satellite technologies for autonomous driving at the Tecnopolo dell’Aquila. The DAAB represents 5 large companies, 45 SMEs, and 8 research bodies among universities and specialized centers with over 2,500 professionals already involved, testament to a public-private alliance to seize new opportunities for the Abruzzese territory.

Radiolabs is well established in the Abruzzo Region, where it coordinated the EMERGE initiative together with Leonardo, Elital, Telespazio, and the University of L’Aquila through the Program Agreement signed with MiMIT and the Abruzzo Region to create the first national ecosystem dedicated to the development of satellite technologies for autonomous vehicles.

Actually, Radiolabs is realising in L’Aquila P-CAR – the first Center in Europe for the validation and certification of satellite technologies for autonomous vehicles. This plan leverages on the satellite skills and the automotive production chain present in Abruzzo (22,000 employees and over 190,000 vehicles produced in 2024) with the aim of making Abruzzo an international hub for space technologies dedicated to a safer and sustainable mobility.
