Radiolabs has been awarded by ESA – GSTP 6.2 (General Support Technology Programme) Competitiveness Element, the contract “Digital Beam Forming for Rail – DB4Rail” to evaluate and mitigate the potential effects of possible GNSS intentional and non intentional interferences on the ERTMS operational scenarios based on virtual balises. This project – the first in Europe fully dedicated to the ERTMS system – will design, develop and test a prototype platform with high GNSS anti-jamming, anti-spoofing and anti-meaconing capabilities to strengthen the resilience and availability of train positioning detection. The team, coordinated by Radiolabs includes Ansaldo STS, Qascom and RFI which cover all the competences in the rail and GNSS sector.
