Radiolabs on new GNSS receiver design for trains

Radiolabs is part of the team coordinated by Hitachi Rail STS that has been selected by ESA to design and prototype a GNSS receiver for the ERTMS train control system. This project – based on state of art Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform provided by Qascom and integrity algorithms designed by Radiolabs – aims to exploit the multi-constellation and dual frequency features of GNSS to improve the ERTMS train positioning. Radiolabs – collaborating with Hitachi Rail STS since 2011 – has a unique expertise to develop for the GNSS receiver new Integrity algorithms based on ARAIM schemes optimized for the railways environment.
