Customer: European Community – 6th Framework Program
Duration: 2004-2006

The Project

PULSERS (Pervasive Ultra-wideband Low Spectral Energy Radio Systems) is an European Project funded by the IST Programme within the 6th Frame Programme (FP6).
The objective of the project is the development of technologies and applications needed for the design, implementation and demonstration of prototypes, which can constitute the basis for the commercialization of low cost and low power UWB systems. A second objective, whose relevance is the same compared to the one of the technological objectives, is to reach a consensus on the future regulation of the sector, and on the standard for UWB devices and systems.

Radiolabs activities

Within the context of the PULSERS Project, Radiolabs will work on the following topics:

  • user scenario definition(WP2);
  • definition, for the case of single antenna systems (SAS), of the requisites and system architectures, with reference to the considered scenario (WP3a);
  • regulation and standardization (WP6);

The Partners

PULSERS is managed by a consortium comprising 31 international Partners, among which RadioLabs is considered, of different nationalities:

  • Italy
  • France
  • Spain
  • Switzerland
  • Germany
  • Singapore
