RX4RAIL – GNSS Receiver Chain Technology Enabler and Integrity Techniques for the Railway Environment

Customer: ESA
Duration: January 2020 – July 2021
The main objective of RX4Rail is to design and develop enhanced GNSS receiver chain for high accuracy and integrity train localization. The proposed solution involves advanced integrity algorithms, suitable for evolutionary ETCS, based on reduced complexity – dual frequency multi-constellation (GALILEO-GPS) ARAIM schemes with coupling to odometer and INS sensors. The RX4Rail GNSS receiver will be designed as a highly configurable platform to allow adequate flexibility in multiple operating scenarios, ready for integration of future SBAS services like EGNOS v3.
